PROJECT BRIEF:

Deep Green Landscaping was contracted by the owners of the apartment complex to design, develop and install three vertical gardens on the building. After the council requested a certain amount of landscaping to be installed into the building, the owners chose to achieve this through the installation of vertical gardens to optimise its limited floor space.

The team at Deep Green Landscaping had to think outside of the box when it came to the overall design, plant selection and irrigation system of each vertical garden to their varying locations on the property. One vertical garden sits inside the lobby in a protected air conditioned environment, while the other two are located on the façade of the building, reaching 20 metres tall.

The completed vertical gardens are vibrant additions to the building complex. Each green wall was designed and installed specifically to cater for the conditions of its location and the accompanying plant life. Each green wall has its own custom irrigation system with moisture sensors for adequate water control and all include varied plant life with tough natives and succulents for the outdoor green wall and soft lush indoor plants for the lobby vertical garden.

Deep Green Landscaping has delivered three custom vertical gardens that adds a breath of fresh air and pops of green to the building that residents and visitors will enjoy year-round.
