PROJECT BRIEF

Approached by Loxton Primary School, Creative Pools and Landscaping has designed and constructed a multi-functional space within the school’s yard featuring a new nature play playspace, an edible fruit garden and an outdoor learning area.

Previously the outdoor space consisted of an old bitumen quadrangle with a concrete stage, now it is a fresh, clean and new environment with a softened feel. Installation of pod seats that are strategically placed allow for outdoor learning opportunities. A variety of low-ground plant life adds to the green space with ornamental pear trees to encourage sustainability. The new playspace is situated within a sandpit and is constructed from recycled logs and branches.

Circling around the landscape are newly laid paved pathways that help separate the outdoor zones and connect to classrooms and buildings. Creative Pools and Landscaping has delivered a nature play school yard filled with opportunities for outdoor learning and educating students on sustainability.
