PROJECT BRIEF
According to COS Design, their client brief was “to use natural materials to create a relaxed yet sophisticated coastal garden to be used for entertaining and as a family retreat.”

Beautifully delivered, this landscape project complements a stunning outlook with a generous modern pool with views across to Port Philip Bay. The family that inhabits this well was looking for a landscape that featured multiple spaces that would allow them play, relax and connect on a daily basis.

Multiple terraces make the most of the sloped block, providing easy access and zones to ensure different activities can take place at the same time, without getting in anyone’s way. A blend of timber landings leads users from an upper deck down to the pool area, before descending another layer to a relaxed firepit zone.

The large stone wall edging one side of the pool area provides privacy and makes a bold structural statement. The earth-toned stones tie in nicely with the firepit area and offer an attractive contrast to the scattered soft landscaping.

The design aesthetic shows a strong connection between the surrounds and architecture of the home, and the palette of surfaces colours and textures work cohesively, resulting in a beautiful and functional showstopper of a landscape that feels right at home in the space.”
