Brett Walsh Landscapes, Eagle Bay (WA)
CATEGORY: $150,000 – $250,000
PROJECT BRIEF
The brief for Eagle Bay included a garden renovation that enhanced and expanded the size and usable area of the yard, while also blending the new area into the existing native bush using natural local granite rocks to retain levels. In addition, the owners wanted to maximise the space inside the new pool pavilion and internal pool/spa fenced area.
To achieve this objective, Brett Walsh and his team, working with natural hand-picked granite, laid the boulders in an organic amphitheater formation. The boulders were pushed back into hill, operating as a retaining wall, to open up more usable space below, culminating in a firepit zone with natural stone stairs leading into a garden path and veggie garden area.
The decking was extended around the pool to create a lounging area, while a new pool fence was pushed into the bush area to open up the space. Nestled a step above the pool is a new spa, edged by the same natural stone. Stone paving of a similar colour was also employed throughout the landscape to create easily navigable pathways and tie the whole scheme together.
